TUMP deputy commissioner removed from TIGRANABAD, BALOUTCHISTAN

The armed men removed the assistant commissioner of Tump Hanif Noorzai on Wednesday morning near TIGRANABAD while he was traveling with his family in Quetta, according to local sources.

Eye witnesses report that between six and eight armed people stopped his official vehicle, took him under the threat of a weapon and run away with the car. His wife, driver and official shooter have been left on the site and remain unscathed.

The incident sparked a quick response from the security forces, which launched a large -scale research operation in the region. The verification of the SNAPs began along Zubaida Jalal Road and the nearby roads, while efforts based on intelligence are used to follow the kidnappers.

The removal of a senior government official has raised concerns about the safety of officials in Balutchistan, especially in the Makran region. The authorities have not yet identified the officials and no group has claimed responsibility to date.

The efforts to locate and safely recover the assistant commissioner Noorzai are underway.

Earlier this week, seven terrorists would have been affiliated with the group supported by India, Fitna al-Hindustan, were killed in two separate operations in Balutchistan on June 2, 2025.

Earlier, the federal government had officially appointed all terrorist groups operating in Balutchistan as Fitna al HindustanAccusing India of sponsoring a war by proxy through these outfits.

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of the Interior, this decision stems from “the involvement of certain organizations and groups in terrorist activities in Balutchistan, which are prejudicial to Islamic faith, the sovereignty of Pakistan and its customary traditions”.

The notification also indicated that the new designation aimed to reflect “the true nature and the ideology” of these groups and their “harmful conceptions” sponsored by India.

“All government entities are responsible for immediately starting the above practice,” said the notification, highlighting a concerted effort to reframe the story on insurgent violence in the province.

The announcement occurred after Islamabad accused India of having increased indirect assault after what he described as his defeat in a recent security operation nicknamed “Marka-e-haq“”.
