- Microsoft has corrected two bugs that have been dragging for a year
- They include a problem with webcams and a Bluetooth audio bug
- Unfortunately, a new bug has been introduced with the September update for Windows 11 which arrives at reading Blu-Ray and DVD
Microsoft has finally corrected boring bugs from Windows 11 which have been dragging for a very long time – but the disadvantage is that a new defect has just arisen in the office operating system.
Let’s start with the good news, namely that Bleeping Computer is spotted that Microsoft has crushed two annoying bugs. One of them concerns the cameras, and it actually dates back to October 2024, which means that the PCs affected have been prevented from obtaining the update 24h2 since then.
It was a problem with webcams that use facial detection features, which includes connection via facial recognition with Windows Hello. Microsoft has just resolved the bug, which means that Windows 11 PCs assigned with these cameras can now download the 24H2 update.
Microsoft has also corrected a longtime bug that has completely broken the Bluetooth audio for some Windows 11 users – it also returned at the end of last year. Again, it was a problem with the 24H2 version, and the people concerned can just install this update.
The niggle here, however, is that Ghacks noticed the confirmation by Microsoft of a new bug in Windows 11, by which Blu-ray and DVD applications (as well as digital television software) may not read protected content (with DRM).
This defect was introduced into the September update for Windows 11 (and the preview of this update which arrived at the end of August).
Microsoft explains that this Gremlin has supported applications that use improved video rendering, and affected people can see reading fail with an error message or a black screen, or they can feel “frequent reading interruptions” which seem less than ideal.
The software giant says that it is working on the supply of a fix, which will be transmitted in a future Windows 11 update.
Analysis: Correction of the upgrade around 24:2 am only slide before the arrival of 25h2
Hopefully that the problem with the reading of DVD or Blu-ray in Windows 11 will not take Microsoft a year to settle. To be fair, these delays are not normally the case, but it took far too much time to correct the webcam and Bluetooth buckets that prevented people from updating 24h2.
Indeed, people who have only access to the 24H2 version have the possibility of catching it before the arrival of the 25:2 update (which is probably imminent – it could even present itself next week).
The 25h2 update is a non -exciting affair, the highest point being a renu of the start -up menu which is certainly good work, but which also arrives at those which remain on 24h2; Indeed, in some cases, these users can obtain it before users at 25:2, depending on how deployment dice fall.
