Two killed, 14 injured in southern waziristan

Wana: At least two people were killed and 14 others were injured when a remote -controlled explosion occurred near a police van in the Wana Rustam Bazar region at the bottom of Waziristan, the assistant police superintendent (DSP), Imran Ullah said on Thursday.

Police confirming that the injured also include two police officers, the DSP IMRAN said that an emergency had been imposed at the Hospital of the district headquarters (DHQ) Wana.

The incident occurs a day after three staff members of the Constabulary Frontier (FC) were martyred when unidentified attackers opened fire on their vehicle in the Karak Garagri region in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In addition, a major of the Pakistani army, as well as two soldiers, were martyred by terrorists supported by India in the Mastung District of Balutchistan on Wednesday.

In a press release, inter-service public relations (ISPR) said that in the night between August 5 and 6, terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy Fitna al-Hindustan targeted a security forces vehicle with an improvised explosive device (IED).

The martyred staff were identified as Major Muhammad Rizwan Tahir, Naik Ibni Amin and launches Naik Muhammad Younas.
