Muzaffarabad:
In a battle of fierce firearms between the police and the terrorists in the district of Hussain Kot in the district of Rawalakot, Azad Jammu and Cashmire (AJK), four terrorists were killed while two police officers kissed the martyrdom.
Police say when the security forces have descended into the hiding place of the terrorists, the suspects opened fire and launched hand grenades during the part of the raids, causing the immediate martyrdom of two police officers. In an attempt to avoid capture, the terrorists exploded explosive devices, killing themselves.
Police have confirmed that the most advanced leader and terrorist, Zarnosh Naseem also exploded while trying to flee. He was wanted in multiple high -level cases, including the murder of the Sajjad Resham gendarme, and had been hiding for a long time in the Rawalakot region. The authorities said that he was an active member of a prohibited militant organization operating in AJK.
Dig Poonch Sardar Zaheer confirmed the death of four terrorists and the martyrdom of two police officers during the operation.
Meanwhile, the Federal Minister of the Interior Mohin Naqvi praised the operation to combat successful terrorism in Rawalakot. He paid tribute to the martyr cops, praising their bravery and noting that their sacrifice prevented a major disaster in Ajk.
“Martyrs’ officers gave an example by sacrificing their lives in the exercise of their functions,” said Naqvi. “The whole nation salutes their courage and is united with the bereaved families.”
