The star of Indiana Pacers, Tyrese Haliburton, would have undergone a devastating injury of Achilles during the defeat of the team 7 of the team in the NBA final against Oklahoma City Thunder.
Haliburton torn his Achilles tendon when it was shot in the first quarter and will probably miss the entire 2025-26 season, ESPN reported on Monday. The Guard of the Pacers was the third player to undergo the devastating injury, the star of the Boston Celtics Jayson Tatum and the star of Milwaukee Bucks, Damian Lillard, also treating tendons of Achilles torn during the eliminatory series.

The Pacers announced after Haliburton left the match he would not return due to an injury below the leg on the right. Haliburton’s father John told Lisa Salters d’Espn that it was an injury from Achilles.
“He will be back,” said Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle after the defeat of 103-91. “I have no medical information on what is what, what may or not.
Haliburton began to warm up for Indiana at the start of the match. He scored nine points out of three 3 points and was about to pass the MVP of the NBA Shai Gilgeous-Alexander final when he fell on the ground.

It seemed that Haliburton knew how devastating the injury when he was beating his fist on the frustration ground. He was already dealing with a calf injury before the match.
Haliburton has become one of the best stars of the playoffs through his clutch shot.
“Many of us had trouble loss, and he was up there to console ourselves. This is what Tyrese Haliburton is,” said goalkeeper TJ McConnell. “He’s just the biggest.”

The Indiana will have some intersane decisions to be made concerning the appearance of its list and if they will decide to go for another championship in 2025-2026.
