Ubisoft announced the CO-PDGs of its new subsidiary funded by Tencent, Christophe Derennes and Charlie Guillemot, the son of the current CEO of the publisher, Yves Guillemot.

“With complementary history, Christophe Derennes and Charlie Guillemot provide their strong industry expertise, in -depth knowledge of the Ubisoft ecosystem and a shared innovation culture,” said Ubisoft.
Derrennes co-founded the Ubisoft Montreal studio in 1997 and was recently general manager of the North American region, while Guillemot began his career at Owlient in 2014, a studio acquired by Ubisoft, then returned to Ubisoft in 2025 to join his transformation committee.

In a separate interview with Variety after the announcement, Charlie Guillemot was invited to respond to the concerns of nepotism now that he is co-PDG of a subsidiary under his father’s business.
