The UFC star, Conor McGregor, arrived at the White House on Monday and will later meet President Donald Trump with the intention of raising awareness of “problems with which the inhabitants of Ireland”.
McGregor, 36, appeared alongside the press secretary of the White House, Karoline Leavitt, for a brief appearance in front of the media.

Leavitt confirmed that McGregor would meet the president as well as other administration officials during his visit to the White House.

“I will say that Conor is there to meet the president. He will meet him this afternoon. We could not think of a better guest to have with us on Saint-Patrick day,” she said, noting that the meeting will be discussed further during the press briefing on Monday afternoon.
McGregor raised several questions with the current state of politics in its native Ireland during its brief appearance, criticizing the government for what it called “zero responsibility”.
“I am here to raise the problems with which the inhabitants of Ireland face. You know, it will be music for the people of Ireland. Because, never on the main stage, the problems to which the inhabitants of Ireland have been encountered,” he said in part.

“Our government has long abandoned the voices of the people of Ireland, and it is high time that America is informed of what is happening in Ireland. What is happening in Ireland is a parody. Our government is a government of zero and zero responsibility.”
McGregor has already criticized the Irish government. In September, he teased a potential presidential session in Ireland, calling himself a “only logical choice”.
“As president, I hold the power to invoke Dáil and dissolve it,” he wrote in an article on X, in reference to a branch of the Irish Legislative Assembly. “So, as I have already said, I would have all the answers that the inhabitants of Ireland were looking for these thieves of the working man, these disruptors of the family unit, these destructive small businesses, and so on!”
