UK Gov presents a crime bill which extends the powers of the courts during the recovery of the crypto

The British government on Tuesday presented a new crime bill which, if it is adopted, aims to help the organizations responsible for the application of laws to recover money from cryptographic criminals.

The Home Office Crime and Police Bill presents measures that define how to enhance the destroyed cryptographic goods – in the event of law development, it required that it be destroyed if it cannot be sold – in addition, conditions for how the courts can recover funds and extends the powers of the Couronne Court of the country with regard to confiscation ordinances.

“This bill will strengthen the capacity of the criminal justice system to pursue those who have benefited from criminal activity,” said a corresponding information sheet.

This bill accumulates on the law on economic crime and the transparency of companies which was applied in 2023 and allowed the cops to freeze and grasp the crypto faster.
