- Laser projectors to launch short at 3 LCD with 4K UHD and HDR10 / 10 +
- Available in the United Kingdom; No details of American or Australian availability
- £ 4,500
Epson launched two new short-term laser projectors “4K Pro-UHD”, EH-QS100W and EH-QS100B.
Similar to the Epson LS12000, our first choice among the best 4K projectors, the new projectors use Epson triple LCD laser technology, which has separate red, green and blue panels. Epson says that it offers better color brightness compared to DLP projectors in a single chip, and the two projectors are definitively brilliant: they are capable of 4,500 lumens and can project images up to 160 inches.
The models are identical apart from their colors: the W is white and the B is black.
EPSON EH-QS100W and EH-QS100B: Key features and price
The spotlights are fed by the Epson 4K 4K 4K treatment system and have a dynamic contrast ratio of 5,000,000: 1 for deep blacks and better shadow details. The treatment also includes the interpolation of frame and the projectors support HDR10 / 10 + and have a dynamic tone mapping.
The laser source has a claimed lifespan of 20,000 hours and Epson says that it offers “almost moments” warm -up and cooling times to reduce energy consumption.
One of the main features here is complete IP control, which allows you to control the projector with related systems such as lighting and sound configurations for transparent home entertainment experience. It is compatible with systems such as Crestron and Control4, and there are RS232 and Ethernet connectors.
The two models are available now in the United Kingdom for £ 4,500 (around $ 5,601 / $ 8,958 in), but there is no American or Australian launch word.
