UFL opens the 2025 season in Houston on Fox
The former NFL quarter-arre and the journalist of the Fox Sports UFL Brock Huard’s touch line details innovative technology giving unprecedented access to players on the field before St. Louis Battlehawks against Houston.
The United Football League returned to the gridiron for the 2025 season and at least one record dropped twice during the first two days of the new year.
St. Louis Battlehawks Jarveon Howard and Arlington Renegades, Ballon Ballage’s Ballon Ballon Ballage, each broke the record for UFL history in their respective games. The Battlehawks dominated the Houston 31-6 Roughnecks on Friday evening and the Renegades beat the San Antonio Brahmas 33-9 on Saturday.

Howard broke two plated on a race in the middle, then one more to consolidate his score in the fourth quarter against the Roughnecks. He ran for a touch of 74 yards, which initially broke the UFL record. But the new brand was not even held for 24 hours while Ballage took its turn against the Brahmas.
In the second quarter. Ballage took a transfer outside, found a hole and hit it hard. He broke a few plated before finding daylight for his touch. He ran out of 77 yards, breaking Howard’s brand.
Howard was an off -competition at Alcorn State, who played in Syracuse before entering the transfer portal. He was not drafted in 2024 and was briefly with the Green Bay packers but failed to make the last list.

Ballage was out of competition at Arizona State and entered the UFL last season with a little more NFL experience, especially in special teams. He was with the New York Jets, Los Angeles Loaders and Pittsburgh Steelers before the Brahmas chose him in the Restchage XFL 2023.
He joined the Renegades in January.
The victories give the two teams a good start to return to the image of the playoffs. The Battlehawks won the XFL conference last year but lost in the conference championship match against the Brahmas. The Renegades, which won the title XFL in 2023, finished 3-7 last season.
Week 1 of the UFL 2025 season ends on Sunday.
