Legendary university basketball The advertiser Dick Vitale was dropped during the Championship of the Tournament of the Atlantic Coast Conference on Saturday evening when he thought about his last battle against cancer and that it meant being back on the field after announcing that he was without cancer in December.
Sitting alongside Dave O’Brien and Cory Alexander d’Espn, the 85 -year -old advertiser became emotional during the last moments of the first half of the Duke-Louisville final.

“It was like, for me, a miracle really sitting here with you,” continued vital, in tears. “I can’t tell you what it meant for me. It was incredible. Difficult three years. These four cancer battles. I don’t want anyone. Cancer is zero.”
“I’m going to tell you this, whoever fights cancer, listen: always think positive and have faith and believe.”

Vitale said that the ACC final final would be his last of the season. He said earlier on X that he could only announce one game a week due to the doctor’s orders.
“Those who ask you that I do not make more than one match a week – these are the orders of my medical team after 5 main surgeries in vocal cord. Blessed to play a game!”
