University probe advocacy rejected

Islamabad:

A constitutional bench of seven members of the Supreme Court, led by Judge Amicin Khan, rejected a petition on Thursday asking an investigation into the scandal of the University of Islamia in Bahawalpur as inadmissible.

Judge Amicin Khan said that a LHC judge had investigated the issue and that she had been resolved. Judge Mazhar told the lawyer, the case was in the LHC jurisdiction. Therefore, he should approach LHC. However, the lawyer replied that the case was limited to Punjab alone.

Judge Musarrat Hilali then asked the lawyer what he wanted from the court. With that, Bhutta replied that the file should be summoned from the Punjab government.
