Karachi:
Young people recently recruited from the police for various districts were sent to perform security tasks in Jamshoro for Muharram without receiving official training.
According to reports, the police service has not made any arrangements to provide compulsory meals to these recruits in service in the last five days.
Young men buy food and water in their own pockets or depend on charities of Nazar and Nayaz de Muharram Majalis.
In a viral video, the recruits expressed their distress, saying: “We were deployed for the safety of the Muharram procession, but we have not yet received a training. Although we are in service, we do not receive a meal or allowances. We are faced with extreme difficulties.” When he approached, the Jamshoro sho said, “If I get something, I will give you something.”
In their message, they called on IG Sindh, Dig Hyderabad and other main authorities to take note of their condition.
Due to a police shortage in the Jamshoro district and in the surrounding officers, recently recruited and unrealing officers have been awarded Muharram security tasks. Many of them were sent to districts such as Naushahro Feroze.
