Updates of the royal family on the last decision of King Charles

King Charles visits Lancaster for the traditional keys ceremony

King Charles marked his last royal visit this morning.

On Monday, the official Instagram handle of the royal family displayed an overview of Charles’ last visit.

King Charles, also the Duke of Lancaster, visited the castle of Lancaster in the morning.

This visit marked Charles’s first visit to Lancaster as a monarch.

During his visit, the king of Great Britain met Richard Brock and was greeted by acclaiming crowds.

As part of tradition, Charles received the keys to the castle in front of the John O’Gaunt footbridge.

It should be mentioned that King Charles participated in the ceremony of the keys previously when she was presented to Queen Victoria in 1851, then at the late Queen Elizabeth in 2015.

The palace shared an overview of the video alongside the declaration that said: “It was wonderful to meet so many members of the local community of the castle of Lancaster this morning!”

“The king, who is also the Duke of Lancaster, participated in the traditional ceremony of the keys to the castle of Lancaster!”

“This tradition dates back to 1851, when the keys to the castle were presented to Queen Victoria. His Majesty also met members of a Fijian choir, formed from the first battalion of the Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment,” he concluded.

It should be mentioned that it was the visit of King Charles without Queen Camilla.
