LODHRAN: A young man falsely reported the forced marriage of his cousin after learning she was getting married elsewhere, a police spokesperson said on Wednesday.
A police spokesperson said: “The young man informed that the girl was being forced into marriage. »
“The man, originally from Kahror Pakka, wanted to marry his cousin,” added the police spokesperson.
When the police arrived at the scene, it was found that the marriage had taken place with the consent of the girl, the spokesperson said.
In addition, the police spokesperson also said that the young man called the hotline 15 and then made a false statement about the girl’s marriage.
Notably, the suspect was arrested and a case was registered against him under the Telegraph Act, according to the police.
