Washington: The United States has expressed its support for the current ceasefire between Pakistan and India following climbing triggered by Pahalgam’s attack.

On April 22, terrorists killed at least 26 civilians in Pahalgam. New Delhi described it as a “act of terrorism” orchestrated by Islamabad, a complaint rejected by the leaders of Islamabad.

“We all recognize that President Donald Trump at each stage he has taken to resolve the generational differences between countries and the generational war,” the spokesman for the US State Department said on Tuesday in Washington on Tuesday.

“It shouldn’t surprise anyone that he wanted to manage something like that. He seems to be very well and not only, but he was the only one to bring some people to the table to have conversations that no one thought possible.”

Responding to a question about the visit of a Pakistani parliamentary delegation, Bruce confirmed that the group met under security of state in political affairs, Allison Hooker, during his visit to Washington last week.

The delegation, led by the former Minister of Foreign Affairs and leader of the Pakistani peoples’ party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, held several high -level meetings during the trip.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had in charge of Bilawal to present Pakistan’s point of view on the recent conflict with India and to counter the unproven allegations of New Delhi.

As part of its global diplomatic awareness, the parliamentary delegation went last week to the United States and is currently in London. Later, he will also go to Brussels.

Speaking to journalists, Bruce said that at the meeting, the two parties discussed various questions, including bilateral relations and cooperation in counter-terrorism.

The spokesman noted that the American official had reiterated Washington’s support to the current cease-fire between India and Pakistan.

Bruce called for the moment “an interesting period” when progress on this long -standing dispute seemed possible.

She concluded by expressing her gratitude to President Trump, the vice-president and the Secretary of State for their efforts in promoting dialogue and peace.
