A letter was sent to Andrew, recently stripped of his royal titles, by members of Congress, summoning him to their investigation into the Jeffrey Epstein network.
He called him to testify before the House Oversight Committee. Rep. Robert Garcia, ranking member of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, along with Rep. Suhas Subramanyam and fourteen others, signed the letter.
It should be noted that the letter is a request and not a subpoena, as it states that Andrew “will submit to questioning by the Oversight Committee as part of the ongoing investigation into Jeffrey Epstein, his co-conspirators, and his enablers.”
“The Oversight Committee will investigate Mountbatten Windsor’s allegations of abuse and seek information about Epstein’s operations, network and associates based on the men’s long-standing and well-documented friendship,” the letter said.
Earlier, King Charles had expelled Andrew, after officially stripping him of his royal titles, from the Royal Lodge.
The actions against the embattled royal come after Virginia Giuffre’s memoir, who died by suicide, claimed she was a minor at the time the 65-year-old sexually assaulted her.
