Several of the people accused, who include American nationals and foreigners, were arrested in California this week, the DoJ said in a press release on Thursday. The other two people live abroad.
The accusations on individuals go from racket, wire fraud to money laundering and obstruction to justice.

Social engineering scams are increasingly used by crooks to fly the crypto. The crooks get certain personal information, then encourage the user to send them their crypto.
Coinbase revealed on Thursday that the crooks were able to bribe some of their employees abroad and steal significant user data on their database. The exchange plans to voluntarily pay users between $ 180 and $ 400 million for data violation.
