USA Gymnastics has removed trans policy pages, while Biles-Gaines Feud Rocks Nation

USA Gymnastics seemed to remove its transgender eligibility policy pages on its website. When the pages were officially taken offline are currently unknown.

The organization has been under public control since Friday after the Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles sparked a quarrel with the former NCAA swimmer and conservative activist Riley Gaines on social networks on the question of the inclusion of trans athletes.

Previous links to three of the organization’s pages describing its transgender eligibility policies are currently offline.

A link previously led to an announcement in November 2020 that the organization no longer obliges trans athletes to undergo sexual reallow, legal recognition of gender and hormone therapy in order to compete in the gender category of their choice, as seen in an archive by the Wayback machine. This page still appears in the search results, but the link now goes to an error page 404.

Another link previously went to a three-page PDF brochure of gymnastics guidelines in the United States for transgender and non-binary athletes, as seen in a Wayback machine archive. This link is now inaccessible, but is still a higher result on search engines.

The official page of governance documents of the American gymnastics website presented the pages of transgender and non -binary directive and non -binary resources as in April, as shown in a Wayback machine archive. But now these links are absent from the page of governance documents.

The quarrel between biles and sheaths has become one of the most viral subjects on social networks in the last three days, dominating the most important trend section on X, while causing animated debates and controversial media coverage of the problem.

Gaines said in a video on social networks on Saturday that several athletes from the American team contacted her to tell him that she agreed with her position against the authorization of men in female sports.

The quarrel started when Biles challenged ducts calling a Minnesota high school whose softball team won a state championship on Friday with a transgender launcher.

Biles replied, calling “really sick” sheaths for his comment and saying that sheaths should be transgender athletes “edifying”. Biles sent a second message on X saying sheaths to “intimidate someone with your own size, which would be ironically a man”.

Biles has been the subject of widespread criticism of the conservatives and activists of the rights of women’s sport.

Other MAJOR TEAM USA sports guidelines have quietly changed their transgender policies in increasing opposition to transplants in female and girls sports.

The United States on track and field (USATF) has now referred to the global athletics directives on its official web page.

The USATF previously referred to the policy of the International Olympic Committee (CIO), as seen in an archive via Wayback Machine.

The IOC allows organic men to participate in the female category, while world athletics prohibits any athlete who has undergone male puberty to participate as a woman.

USA Fencing announced in April that he was preparing to change his sex-eligibility policy, after a viral demonstration by the women’s shooter Stéphanie Turner triggered a mass reaction and a federal intervention by protesting against a trans opponent.

The organization said that she was preparing to modify its current policies which allow biological men to compete with women and girls in case it is “forced” to change it.

“In the event that the United States’s closure is forced to modify its current position in accordance with supervisory organizations or federal legislation, the new policy declares that athletes in competition in the fencing tournaments of American fences must compete according to their biological sex,” said the announcement.

The proposed update policy ensures that the female category “will be open exclusively to female athletes”. The male category “will be open to all other athletes who are otherwise eligible for competition”.

Trump signed a decree in February to prohibit the trans -female and girls athletes, while the majority of Americans have proved to oppose organic men allowed to compete and share the locker rooms with women.

A New York Times / Ipsos survey Found that the vast majority of Americans, including the majority of Democrats, do not think that transgender athletes should be allowed to participate in female sports.

Of the 2,128 people who participated, 79% said that biological men who identify themselves as women should not be allowed to participate in female sports. Of the 1,025 people who have identified as a democrats or who lean a democrat, 67% said that transgender athletes should not be authorized to compete with women.
