- Strava has been updated with new features to pay subscribers
- Which includes routes powered by AI and causing locations
- Application rankings have also been purged of cheaters
If you are a fitness fanatic, you’ve probably heard of Strava. The health monitoring application is popular among athletes and amateurs, and it has just been updated with a range of new features for subscribers.
According to a blog post on the Strava website, the new features “mix flexibility on the move with reliability focused on the community”, which means that the application offers subscribers “smarter tools and supplied by the community to explore and compete with confidence”.
So what do you really get with the update? First of all, there is a new experience of roads. Strava says that this includes “updated itineraries on the AI” which can offer suggestions based on the world’s thermal card of the application. This means more flexible and reliable options based on user contributions, says the company.
From June, the points of interest will be lined up, which can allow you to find more information on the place in question (like a restaurant or a place of beauty). This also means that you can create an itinerary that goes directly to the point of interest or incorporate them along the way, and it will show data such as altitude and time of arrival.
Then, from July, subscribers will be able to deposit a pin on a Strava card and create an “effective and specific path to the activity from A to B.”
Classification
Beyond these new features, Strava says that it also takes measures to ensure that classification hours have been carried out fairly. To this end, the application model of the application has been updated to retreat the 10 most popular places in Ride and Run rankings. This led to the abolition of 4.45 million activities that have been filed with the wrong type of sport or have been recorded in vehicles. Strava says that it means that the rankings “will now reflect real performance”.
Strava also adds more living segments, with double the number compared to previously. You will be able to access these segments, whether you are subscribed or not, but paid members will obtain some additional features here, including additional screens with comparison measures.
If you like Strava and use it whenever you go on a race or a ride, these updates may have bitten your interest. Just make sure you take one of the best fitness trackers with you the next time you travel the road.
