- The Valve Steam client has just received many fixes and adding user interfaces in a new update
- User interface additions include text scaling, high contrast mode and personalization of the art of coverage
- Fans go to social networks to rent the CEO of Valve, Gabe Newell
Valve is continuing the growth of its PC game launcher, Steam, not only via updates from its Steamos operating system, benefiting from Steam Deck and other portable game PC users, but also for the STEAM customer in its entirety with a long -awaited new update.
As indicated by our good friends of Gamesradar +, Valve has published an update from the Steam client who sees important modifications to their user interface (user interface) via new accessibility and personalization options, as well as several fixes that you can find in the bets.
Users now have access to a user interface scale to adjust the text in small or large sizes, a high contrast mode for better text clarity on a darker background, a reduced movement parameter and a new personalization tab to modify the cover and logo of each game.
The latter has already been available via a click of straight mouse on the background cover of a game, but Valve did everything possible to develop it with a dedicated tab.
For portable players like me, it is very similar to a DECKY charger plugin for Steamos users, known as Steamgriddb (available via GitHub, which allows users to replace the default covers with a plethora of others, but this new update pushed by Valve requires manual modification via personal downloaded personal files.
Users have already visited Reddit to sing praise for the CEO of Valve, Gabe Newell, and that does not surprise the right grace that Newell and Valve have won fans – and more and more, from the dawn of the steam bridge.
Analysis: the STEAM customer on office and steamos computers on pocket computers continues to improve
Without the shadow of a doubt, Steamos is one of the best aspects of the PC game, in particular for the Steam bridge and portable game PCs, and Valve shows permanently with many Steam client updates.
I will not explain why I don’t like Microsoft Windows 11 for the umpteenth time, but the simple fact is that (in several games), Steamos is the best offer in terms of game performance, especially on portable game PCs.
With tools such as Decky Loader allowing the community to introduce excellent complementary modules to improve the global experience, Steamos growth in terms of popularity is fast enough and it is great to see that Valve tries to improve its Steam client with updates of the user interface for it to all PC players and not just for users of Pont Steam.
I am very curious to see how more valve can add to the customer, to distinguish it from other game launchers like Epic Games, and I am ready to bet that this will only improve from here.
