- 210 degree twin cameras offer full coverage, with a 5.2K video
- A 2.7K rear camera is also available in the box
- The main camera can be detected and used as an ordinary 360 camera
Vantrue may have created the most versatile and funny dashboard cam that we have seen again – the triple camera Element 360 (E360).
Its front camera includes 210 degree twin lenses that combine for complete 360 degree coverage from the front and the cabin of a vehicle, broadcasting a 5.2K video (probably, it is the combination of what is indeed two 2.7 k cameras).
This main 360 camera is supplemented by a 2.7K rear camera with an ultra-large degree view, which is designed to be positioned on your rear windshield to cover all pointslins from the front view and the main camera cabin.
And here is a neat feast room – the camera on board the 360 element (more commonly called E360) is easily removable from a vehicle to be used as a 360 ordinary camera, just like the Insta360 and Gopro offers.
For such uses, the E360 can be attached to the portable support of Vantrue – a selfie stick with tripod feet (included in the more expensive E360 Ace pack), armed with batteries that can feed the camera for four hours of record.
We would not expect the E360 to replace a dedicated 360 camera like the powerful Insta360 X5, but it is a fun functionality for users who want to capture the personal touch on their travels in addition to the main objective of the dashboard cam.
The E360 costs $ 349.99 / £ 269.99 on Amazon, while the E360 ACE, which adds portable support, costs $ 459.99 / £ 359.99 on Amazon – We have already seen significant discounts on these prices.
Dash Cam Fun, intelligent on board
Vantrue’s E360 is a versatile and regular 360 camera, but it is also saved by the type of technology that we would expect from a serious dashboard cam.
It presents the current generation of the Sony Starvis 2 generation, HDR video, a quad-core processor, decent night vision capacities and 15 seconds pre-recorded activated by motion detection, with GPS data.
The front camera has a touch screen, but it can also be controlled by voice via basic prompts, while a 24 -hour parking mode is available, provided that the E360 is wired in the vehicle.
However, it is the 360 -degree coverage of the main camera with transparent seams for a 5.2K video output without distribution, as well as its unique portable mode, which is really standing out.
We are currently making an in -depth review of the Vantrue E360 which will be published soon. According to our experiences with other vantrue dashboard cams such as E1 Pro, we expect good things. We cannot talk about its quality as an ordinary 360 camera – however, it is unlikely to challenge the Insta360 X5, our favorite 360 -degree camera.
