Victoria Beckham recently reflected on her transition from world-famous pop star to full-time mom.

During the last episode of Call Him Dad Podcastthe old Spice Girl spoke candidly about the emotional challenges she faced after stepping away from the spotlight to focus on family life.

“I had Brooklyn, I moved to Manchester – that’s where David lived and played for Manchester United,” Victoria recalls.

The fashion designer shares four children with David Beckham, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper.

“She’s a big star,” Victoria continued.

“It was quite a transition for me, because I was so happy to be with David, to have a baby – I felt so lucky. But I also felt a little lost.”

The change of pace, from performing on global stages with her bandmates to quiet days at home, has been “tough”, she admitted.

“Going from the band, traveling the world, being on stage with your best friends and all of a sudden finding yourself in a flat, in Manchester, alone, with a baby,” Victoria said, adding: “It was difficult.”

What made it harder, she added, was the shame she felt for struggling at a time when she thought she should have felt happiest.

“I was ashamed to admit that I didn’t feel completely fulfilled,” she confessed to host Alex Cooper.

“There was a clock in my head that was just ticking, ticking, ticking, ticking. I was just having a hard time understanding what happened next,” Victoria said before logging out of the chat.
