- Broadcom says he is putting pressure on simplification
Broadcom has once again changed the operation of VMware, this time with the launch of a new CSP program by invitation only which will come into force from November 1, 2025.
With the change, Broadcom will considerably reduce the number of authorized CSP partners, with many partners from small to medium not invited.
Those who were actually launched from the program were informed on July 15, and although they can continue to operate normally until November, they will no longer be able to carry out new cases or renewals from this moment.
Following the change, customers can lose existing partners will have to find alternative solutions quickly, risking service interruptions, renewal delays and supports confusion.
Given that customers will no longer be able to access certain cloud service providers, they could also see price increases resulting from a reduction in the bud, migration and overhaul.
The company says it brings these changes to focus on less efficient and efficient hypersctive CSPs. Broadcom has already communicated its vision of simplification, consistency and innovation, and argues that the modifications it will bring to support customers of all sizes.
“Outgoing partners are encouraged to work with VCSP partners authorized to ensure a smooth transition for customers who seek to renew a service at the end of their current mandate,” said Interactive – A VMWare Australian Australian VMware service provider with knowledge in this area.
Existing VMware customers are advised to confirm whether their current partner will continue to be a Broadcom partner. Otherwise, they should identify the renewal deadlines and start planning to migrate accordingly. Companies affected by the reshuffle could also consider reassessing the role of VMware in their computer portfolio, which could add to the continuous Broadcom battle with customer satisfaction.
