This decision, which sees the number of British mobile networks going from four to three, sees two of the country’s largest suppliers making a huge investment in the country’s mobile infrastructure.
Speaking during the launch, the CEO of Vodafonethree, Max Taylor, described the plans to spend 11 billion pounds sterling on expenses over the next 10 years, including 1.3 billion pounds sterling in this first year, in what he said to be a trimestha by-by-by-by-by-by-by year.
He added that the advantages of the merger will be immediately visible for users, with 7 million customers three and Smarty being planned to see an average speed of 20% on 4G in the next two weeks thanks to sharing the combined spectrum.
In the coming months, Taylor has added the 27 million vodafone and three customers will have access to the walk on the networks of each other, which means that users should be automatically connected to the best coverage available for an additional cost and removing 6,500 m² / km of non (equivalent to 10x the size of London) by the end of 2025.
For those who are eager to try the new network, but with an existing contract on other suppliers, Vodafonethree offers a Seven days, free, esim.
Users will be able to access the network on their existing phone and contract, simply by scanning a QR code, without a commitment to register at the end of the trial period.
Taylor noted that he strongly believed in a Multibrand network and plans to keep all the existing brands under the company’s umbrella – which means that Vodafone, Three, Voxe, Smarty and Talkmobile will always remain.
However, for business-oriented offers, Taylor noted that Vodafone will be the only brand in the future, combining units in a single team that seeks to become the largest converged network in the United Kingdom for companies.
He also has major broadband projects, with Vodafonethree set to combine three large existing mobiles with the full fiber of Vodafone in a unique large domestic strip portfolio under the Vodafone brand, with a convergent brand for companies and consumers.
As two British high speed suppliers with the fastest growth, the company already has more than 2 million customers and says that it is able to provide fiber or fiber speeds (up to 2.2 GB
Elsewhere, Vodafonethree claims that its work to deploy autonomous networks (SA) (SA) will create thousands of jobs during its eight -year construction period in all areas of engineering, construction and maintenance of telecommunications, optical fibers and basic stations.
The company also plans to open two new customer service centers in Belfast and Sheffield with the next two years (alongside existing call centers in Stoke and Glasgow), a decision that will bring back 400 sales and customer service roles to the United Kingdom.
“A new era of connectivity has started,” said Taylor. “We will connect each nation, each community, in all corners of the United Kingdom. We will build the best 5G network in the United Kingdom with an unprecedented 11 billion private infrastructure project, throwing the digital foundation for the growth ambitions of our country.”
“The advantages for our 27 million mobile customers will start in a few months, with access to the procedure in the two networks at no additional cost. From large cities to small cities, and everywhere between the two, our mission is to build the best network of the United Kingdom”.
