Volvo has announced that it will be a key player in Google Delivery by Android Automotive Updates, acting as one of the technology’s reference material platforms to accelerate the introduction of new features by car.
Presenting the partnership during the recent Google E / S 2025 event, the Swedish brand said it would be among the first in the world to start Gemini’s “conversational” AI in its vehicle, emphasizing what it might look with an ex90 demonstration vehicle.
Volvo, alongside Sister Polestar, was among the first car manufacturers to use an Android Automotive operating system, introducing the Google platform into the car and allowing an infotainment experience of the more transparent tablet.
Now, Volvo customers will be among the first in the world to be able to use Gemini, which exploit the power of the AI to offer a more conversational approach to the typical vocal assistant.
