- The Lenovo Legion Go 2 is still a prototype, but a new YouTube video presents its potential performance statistics
- There is currently no release date for the portable game PC
- Based on the Legion Go Legion price, the Legion Go 2 should cost between $ 900 and $ 1,000
We are probably still in months far from the complete revelation of Lenovo and the launch of his successor to the Legion Go, supposed to be fueled by the Ryzen Z2 extreme of AMD chip. While a prototype model was present in CES 2025, performance statistics were held under the Wraps given its incomplete nature – now (assuming that the specifications remain the same), we have just seen what the Lenovo Legion Go 2 will have to offer.
On this occasion, the statistics come from FPS VN (reliable for PC references and comparisons of portable game) on YouTube, where we can see the Lenovo Legion becoming extreme compared to what is supposedly the legion Legion becoming 2 z2 extreme. In several games, the Z2 Extreme pocket computer leads mainly by 10 or 11 images per second (on average) while using the generation of frame at 30 W – this is obvious in Cyberpunk 2077 (video below), with a performance difference of 15%.
It is important to note that it is when using the generation of frame, and therefore does not provide gross performance impressions – there is no clarity either to know if the Legion Go 2 in the video is Indeed The real Legion Go 2, despite the description indicating a “private laboratory” test.
Another possibility is that performance statistics come here from a device that also uses an integrated GPU Radeon RX 890M of AMD (which is present in the APU Z2 Extreme), it is therefore preferable to wait until the Legion Go 2 is finalized and more benchmarks are available. But if these performance statistics are accurate, they may not leave a big impression – at least when they examine the cost of the pocket computer.
To watch
A difference of 10 or 11 IPS is great, don’t get me wrong, but not at a potential price of $ 1,000
Again, the Lenovo Legion Go 2 is currently a prototype, there is therefore no confirmation of any price – however, if these performance results supposed for a highly anticipated successor are correct, I will be a little disappointed.
Based on the Legion Go S with its starting price of $ 729.99 / £ 600 / $ 1,299.00 at, it would be very logical for Lenovo to assess its higher product (with an OLED screen also) in the same region. This means that we will probably see a price range between $ 900 and $ 1,000, which is not justifiable for this type of lean performance gains, in my opinion.
I have the same feeling towards the MSI Claw 8 AI +, although he is apparently the king of portable game PCs of this generation according to what I saw – his price of $ 899 / £ 899 (around $ 1,440 in) is a big demand game and approach of the type of budget that I would suggest if you want to build a PC of play in mid -term.
When the Legion Go 2 is officially unveiled, if Lenovo can provide a high price which is reasonable, I will gladly come back my statements on this subject – however, the addition of 32 GB of RAM and an OLED screen suggests that my price estimate could be fair on money.
