A cycling team made the decision of the event of events to go beyond part of the name of their team of their uniforms after demonstrators gave them a hell of a time.
This word? ‘Israel.’
The first-rate technological cycling team participated in the Vuelta a España, which is essentially the Spanish version of the Tour de France.

However, the team was the target of the Lunatic pro-Palestine demonstrators who challenged the name of the team, even if the team has no official connection with the Israeli government.
According to the independent, the Israel part of their name stems from the fact that the team’s Israeli-Canadian billionaire, Sylvan Adams, is an ardent supporter of the country and its actions in Gaza after the terrorist attacks of October 7.
Of course, in the eyes of the demonstrators – many of whom I would be ready to bet are not even 100% sure what they protest or even why – that is enough to put the team in the reticlations.

Thus, the team decided to withdraw “Israel” from its uniforms. The David star logo remains, but has been moved.
This is not the first time that the team has done something like that. Last season, he deleted the word “Israel” from team vehicles because they were targeted by demonstrators.
On the one hand, I understand that the number one priority must be the safety of the riders and the staff of the team. But by yielding the requirements of these unleashed crazy people who cannot even bear to see a word that they do not like on a bicycle jersey, they win.

Hopefully this will draw attention to the pure madness of these demonstrators, but it also makes you wonder why the organizers of the race did not repress them more. Do they not have the responsibility to ensure that the riders and the team staff are sheltered from the whining who are triggered by the name of a country?
Just ridiculous.
