If you’re looking for an easy way to add Freely to your TV, Manhattan TV’s new Aero 4K TV Streamer might be just what you need.
Freely is the new free streaming platform from the BBC, ITV and Channel 4, and since its launch last year it has expanded its offering to add more channels. And the Aero 4K makes it easy to add the service to your existing TV: all you need is Wi-Fi and the included HDMI cable.

The Aero streamer is powered by TiVo OS with voice search and offers Netflix, Disney+ and Prime Video, YouTube and more as well as options from Freely, although these types of services require a subscription. It also has TiVo+, which gives you over 400 free streaming channels as well as free movies and TV shows on demand.
As for Freely itself, it brings you over 60 live TV channels and over 75,000 hours of content from BBC iPlayer, ITVX, Channel 5 and others.
The Aero TV streamer has a quad-core processor, Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet, and supports resolutions up to 4K/60Hz. There’s support for HDR10, HLG and HDR10+ but not Dolby Vision, and there’s Dolby Atmos audio passthrough – so as long as your TV, soundbar or AV receiver supports Dolby Atmos, you’ll get 3D sound.
The Aero TV 4K Streamer with Freely costs £69.99, making it more expensive than a Fire TV Stick 4K or Roku Streaming Stick Plus but considerably cheaper than an Apple TV 4K – and at the time of writing, the Apple device does not have Freely as an option.
If you already have the appropriate Amazon hardware, the Freely app is currently available in the Amazon App Store and comes pre-installed on smart TVs such as Roku, Bush, and Philips. You can see the Freely TV range here.
