Face of clay, a standalone film about the DC Comic villainous character, has been postponed.
Starring Tom Rhys Harries in the lead role, clay face was announced as a straight-up body horror film scheduled for release on September 11.
DC Studios chose this release window because they have a history of successful films, including He (2017), The nun (2018), and This is chapter two (2019) specifically in the corridor in early September.
But the latest decision surprised comic fans, as the creators shifted the release date to October 23, 2026, during the Halloween season.
Don’t say anything bad And The woman in black creator James Watkins will work as director on the project.
Meanwhile, Mike Flanagan, famous for films like The Exorcist, Doctor Sleep And The Haunting of Hill Housewrote the screenplay for Clay face.
The horror thriller will also feature Blink twice star Naomi Ackie and Mike Minghella, widely known for his role in Spiral: Excerpt from Saw’s bookand Eddie Marsan.
The plot of the film will revolve around a shape-shifting creature made of magical clay that haunts Gotham City, varying between villain and Batman ally.
