Lahore:
The Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) said on Sunday that the country’s usable water storage in three large tanks – Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma – and others have exceeded 3,021,000 acres.
A WAPDA spokesperson said that the influx in the water in the Industry river was 131,100 CUSCES in Tarbela against a speed of 82,000 cops, because the tank level reached 1,459.21 feet, having a storage of 1,386,000 acres.
The spokesperson added that the water level in the mangla tank was 1,142.30 feet with a water storage of 1,418,000 acres, while the level of the chashma tank was recorded at 647.10 feet with the storage of 217,000 acres.
“The influx and the flow of water in the Industry river in Tarbela and Chashma, the Kabul river in Nowshera, and the Jhelum river in Mangla are based on a 24 -hour speed rate, while reading the influx and the flow of water in other places are taken at 6 am today today [Sunday]”He said.
By giving details, the spokesperson said that the influx of water in the Jhelum river was 52,400 CUSECS in Mangla, while the exit was 32,000 CUSCS. The influx in the Chashma dam was 143,800 brackets and outings was 114,000 brackets.
He said that the influx in the Chenab river with the Marala head was 33,100 cuses against the flow of 13,700 cuses, the influx in the Kabul river in Nowshera was 44,700 cuses and that the exit was 44,700 crafts.
