Casting Foundation Rumors responded to which Apple TV’s original was renewed for a fourth season.
Earlier this year, Deadline said that Apple had secretly Greenlit Foundation Season 4 and that Ian Goldberg, who directed the seasons 4 to 8 of the AMCs Fear walking ailmentshad been hired like his new showrunner. Goldberg would replace the co-creator of the show, David S Goyer, who would have fallen as FoundationShowrunner in February 2024.
However, speaking to Techradar before Foundation Released from season 3 on July 11, Jared Harris and Lou Llobell admitted that they did not know if the science fiction epic would be back for another season. Llobell, however, added that she “hopes” that the Apple TV + series would not come back for season 4, but would also end the plan of eight seasons which was initially designed by Goyer.
“I probably know less than you because you browse the trades every day,” replied Harris when I asked him about the rumor of renewal of season 4, “you know more than me. I am just an actor said everything. We are the last people to discover what is going on!”

Currently, British Spy Thriller Series Slow horses is Apple TV’s only original to go beyond four seasons. Slow horses Season 5 is expected to be released in September and, with the seasons 6 and 7 already in development, it will be the longest series that the entertainment division of the technology giant has ever produced.
Other programs have not been so lucky on Apple TV + or its rivals in streaming. The wheel of time is the most notable series to have been deleted in front of its time, the high series as fantasy being canceled after three seasons on Prime Video. Many of the best streaming services in the world have also disconnected fans’ favorite emissions due to costs, low vision figures, poor critical reception or a combination of the three.
With Foundation Already undergoing problems outside the camera and casting of upheavals during the development of season 3, it will be interesting to see if Apple finances future seasons. Like Llobell, I hope this is the case, but, in such a era of the Cup range, the shows had to exceed the expectations to be renewed, there is no guarantee that the absorbing space opera will take place for eight seasons.
