The Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the lieutenant-general, Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, said that the Pakistanis “celebrate peace, not victory”, reflecting the country’s humility and preference for stability, while reaffirming the country’s unwaine resolution and force to protect its sovereignty in the midst of growing regional tensions.

In an exclusive interview with CGTV, he underlined the country’s commitment to peace while condemning the unfounded aggression and the false allegations of India.

Answering questions about the possibility of climbing conflicts after the Pahalgam incident, Lieutenant-General Chaudhry said that Pakistan relies first and above all on Allah and then on ourselves.

The tension between Pakistan and India began with an attack in Pahalgam on April 22, killing 26 people, which India blamed in Pakistan without public evidence.

In retaliation, India has suspended the Industry Water Treaty, closed the Wagah-Attari border and has taken diplomatic measures.

Pakistan responded with reciprocal actions, including the trade and closure of the airspace. Tensions have increased more with missile strikes, leading to an air fight and drone attacks.

A ceasefire was announced on May 11 after diplomatic efforts, Pakistan creating the United States, China and the Gulf States, while India said that the truce was a bilateral talks.

He stressed that the inexpressible determination and strength of Pakistan have been demonstrated several times, and the international community should also play its role in regional peacekeeping.

The head of the ISPR has criticized the current aggression and the false allegations against Pakistan, noting that mature nations are focused on global challenges such as climate change, disinformation and overcrowding, rather than imposing domination by unfounded attacks.

“We have never bowed before, and we will never do it,” he said, adding that for the Armed Forces of Pakistan, the desire for martyrdom is greater than life.

On the Pakistan partnership with China, Lieutenant-General Chaudhry underlined the common commitment of the two countries to peace, stability and economic development. He noted the importance of fighting terrorism as a common threat to progress and praised China’s rapid development as a world model.

Addressing internal security problems, in particular the attacks on Chinese engineers involved in development projects, the head of the ISPR has described the national power of Pakistan as an “iron wall” composed of the population, the armed forces, the diplomatic, the media and the young people, all united against terrorism.

He expressed his confidence that Pakistan will continue to progress towards development and stability.
“Just look at how this country will now move forward quickly to the destination of development – Inshaallah,” concluded Lieutenant -General Chaudhry.

He added that Pakistan shared the vision of China for regional peace and prosperity, praising Beijing’s rapid development as a world model.

“China is a mature and responsible actor,” said Gen Sharif, adding that his unprecedented progress in modern history – especially in the lifting of a large population of poverty – are a remarkable example for the world to assist.

He stressed that the state of Pakistan and people also aspire to follow a similar path. “We too want to evolve towards development and stability,” he said. “We owe it to the inhabitants of Pakistan, to our future generations. This is why our preference is always peace. ”

By thinking about the national feeling, the army spokesman said that the Pakistanis “celebrated peace, not victory.”

“There is humility in our people. We are earth-up and grateful to Allah,” he said.
