Bethesda Game Studios’ Todd Howard spoke about the ‘anxiety’ surrounding the next one Fallout 5and reassured fans that some To fall the projects are still in development.
Speaking to Game Informer as part of “The Oral History of To fall’Howard began by reflecting on the continued development of Fallout 76. “The game obviously didn’t launch in a great state, but it still had an audience,” he said. “We had moments where you saw the quality of the game and what he could do, these big jumps, but also a lot of little jumps every quarter for six or seven years now.”
“We want each of them to feel different,” he explained. “What I like best about To fall the franchise is now online debates about your favorite. This should be up for debate! ‘Well, I like Fallout 1.’ ‘No. Fallout 2!’ Fallout 3, 4, New Vegas, 76…few people vote for Shelter!
But we want them all to be different. I think it’s great that you can, if you’re a fan, look back on each of them in one way or another, and they have something unique to say.”
Regarding the future of the franchise, he said that “looking 76we never stopped developing To fall. We’ve had a full team on this for a long time, so To fallas a franchise, is the one we still do the most work in, above all else. Now, the majority of our internal team is in place Ancient scrolls 6. We do something else with To fall which we have not announced.”
“I feel a kind of anxiety from the fans,” he added. “We like to wait.”
About waiting, Ancient scrolls 6 was announced in 2018 with a brief trailer. We also know that Fallout 5 is in preparation, and will be released after Ancient scrolls 6 – so it’s probably still a long way off.
