One day, you will be unemployed. I will also do it, your neighbor too, your best friend too, and your whole family too. All our jobs will be automated, thanks to AI. This is the prediction of Shaw Walters (which in the web3 style generally goes through “shaw”), founder of Eliza Labs, and creator of Elizaos.

On stage at the top of the AI at the 2025 consensus, Shaw will unpack this theory in a principal entitled “How AI agents and humanoid robots will reshape society … and why crypto is the key.” Here it gives a quick overview.

What excites you most among AI agents?
Personally, it is a kind of selfish quest. I do not like to sit at my office all day with my shoulders, becoming this troll who code all day.
What I want to do is rhythm and tell my agents to do things and code for me. The coding has come to the point where I have another window up, and I coding with gemini in cursor. I’m just starting to speak and say: “Hey, that’s what I want. I want you to change this, this, and that ”, and it starts to leave.
And why can’t he be embodied? Why can’t I walk on the street talking to my agent and he writes my code for me? Why should I be seated here at this office? So I really want to unpack the user interface personally for me and have my agent with me wherever I go. I can just call it if I have an idea. He responds to my email.
What do you think will be the first case of use of agents who are really going to the general public?
Well, coding definitively. This is already the first case.
Fair. But what about standards, for non-coders?
Good for us [at Eliza]These are social agents. And then I direct a distant team and a DAO community, right? We have 20 people who come to work every day and develop code. I have a group in group at the moment of eight people. And we have 20 channels on Discord and we have a telegram. So we have all this communication in all these places, and we have these very obvious problems that everyone has. I don’t know what’s going on in most cats. I don’t have time to read most of them.
I would love it just summarized for me. They should say to themselves: “Hey, what did this type work on at the moment?” And it’s like: “Oh, he worked on it. He answered this.” Great. So we have a bot that does this thing exactly. He checks each employee every day and obtains a [status update] two. And he follows each cat and all our digital spaces and sums up everything.
Why, in your mind, is the crypto crucial for this broader vision of yours of AI agents? Why is Web3 necessary?
I think it is very obvious that it is difficult for me to give a Paypal account to an agent. But I can just shoot a wallet for this agent and this agent. I could build a game where I say to myself: “I need 10,000 wallets.” Because what I really do is give an agent the opportunity to prove that he is himself with a cryptographic signature tool, just as I give any other user. Agents are therefore only proxys for other users and they obtain the same advantages as any other user.
But I think there is a more important question here of the reason why the crypto? And I think the reason is because I think we should be able to create our own money. It is not a power that we must necessarily give to the States, although states have the capacity to apply it with force. So there is a more important question, what is the war we fight here?
This is something that I will share in my consensual speech. We will automate all jobs. For example, all jobs will be automated. There will be no jobs. And should not Be, because any work I can have a robot is below me. And I think we are going to look back this time as we look at slavery. Like “what were we doing?”
We were working everyone for dollars with all their time. It’s crazy for me. They should have continued their passions. They should have asked, “Why are we here and what do we do?” They should have formed their own spirituality basis instead of simply working every day. And so, in this reality, well, there is a big problem.
I can think of a few …
If there is no job, we have no money. But in fact, none of the rich in our country has a job. How do they make money? They invest. And I think it is the world in which we have to live, where we are all investors, and no one is a worker. It’s just crazy for me that we live in a world where all the rich do not work, and yet we think it is the way of becoming rich.
I try to visualize this. It is wild to imagine a world where no one has a job, and all the work is below us.
It is inevitable.
Do we write poetry all day? How do we fill our time? What does humanity look like?
Okay, let’s say that you have received an air card that you put in a project, and now you have something like $ 80 million. What would you do? What is your next move?
I see where you are going with that. So, the idea is that you think of your passions and the way you spend your time if you had unlimited money? And then that’s what you would do in this world where all jobs are automated.
