RAWALPINDI:
Former Prime Minister Imran Khan has been allowed to meet his wife, Bushra Bibi, within two weeks. The meeting was held in the conference room of Adiala prison and lasted 45 minutes. Both Imran and Bushra are detained in the same prison facility.
According to prison sources, the meeting took place on Tuesday.
The PTI founder was moved from his barracks to the conference hall, while Bushra Bibi, detained in the women’s barracks, was also brought there. The meeting between the husband and wife took place under the supervision of the prison police.
Sources said a similar meeting was also held last Tuesday, as per court orders and rules of the jail manual. During the meeting, both inquired about each other’s well-being and had a conversation.
Prison sources further revealed that on Tuesday, the prison administration also received essential items from Bushra’s lawyer.
