Wendy Williams hopes to receive a coveted invitation to the Met Gala in Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
However, his ongoing health issues could stand in his way.
According to the latest report from RadarOnline.comThe former talk show host’s dementia diagnosis has once again become an obstacle in her efforts to join the fashion world’s most exclusive event.
Williams, who also battled Graves’ disease, saw The Wendy Williams Show ends in 2022 after 13 successful seasons.
The same year, a legal guardianship was put in place following his diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia and aphasia, after his bank, Wells Fargo, raised financial concerns and froze his accounts.
Despite these setbacks, sources said Williams was making discreet efforts to get back into Anna Wintour’s good graces.
“Wendy wants to be invited to the ball so badly,” a fashion insider told the outlet.
“She was in the front row to Dennis Basso and LaQuan Smith, trying to remind people that she belonged.”
However, inside sources claimed that Wintour’s guest list remained nearly impossible to breach, especially given Williams’ health issues.
“She’s considered a risk,” noted one stylist.
“Fashion Week will make her sit up. The Met Gala? A whole different planet,” they concluded.
