In Calmar gameSeveral games have been presented that children generally play in Korea.
According to the director of the show, Hwang Dong-Hyuk, these games were included for the purpose.
During an interview EWHe approached the games he often played in his childhood and finally added them to the series.
“In season 1, we had a lot of games like the fight against war that really used the height and the fear that this height gives, but in the case of season 2, we did not have this element,” said the filmmaker.
He continued: “This is why in season 3, I decided to present games that could really breathe fear among people with pure height.”
To bring back his point of view, Hwang said: “For season 1, I tried to focus on how intense competition takes place in this extreme capitalist society.”
“In the case of season 2, I wanted to show how Gi-Hun breaks the rules of the game trying to introduce this revolt to try to upset the system, but it ends with failure,” noted the 53-year-old.
Coming to season 3, Hwang added: “And in the case of season 3, I wanted to adopt a slightly different approach – I wanted to focus on how [people] must preserve their humanity in the midst of this intense competition at this capitalist time. “”
“I wanted to focus on how we can preserve our sense of humanity and how we have to remain human even in the midst of this intense competition. I try to ask it as a final question,” he concluded.
Calmar game Season three will be released on June 27.
