A Florida homeowner is making headlines because he successfully bypassed traditional real estate agents by using ChatGPT to sell his home.
The AI chatbot helped him sell his house in a week.
Robert Levine used OpenAI’s chatbot to prepare, list and negotiate the sale of his Cooper City property, resulting in five offers within 72 hours and a closed contract in five days.
This helped us with everything from marketing materials and open house schedules to drafting the sales contract, which was also reviewed by a human attorney.
Levine estimates the process saved him 3 percent of what he otherwise would have paid in commissions to a real estate agent.
Although the story was celebrated as a victory for AI-driven DIY sales, industry analysts caution that it presents an evolution rather than a revolution.
The CEO and AI consultant used the chatbot to manage the entire sales process during a vacation road trip.
He managed every detail, from pricing strategy and marketing content to advice on staging and viewing appointments. The home sold in just five days, achieving one of the highest prices per square foot on the market.
Although the exact prompt wasn’t provided, you can ask the AI assistant to “act as your personal real estate agent, transaction coordinator, and strategic advisor. I’m selling my home and I want you to guide me through every step of the process, from start to finish.”
Despite ChatGPT’s help, Levine hired a lawyer to review the final contract.
