Arc Raiders Design lead Virgil Watkins revealed that the game will receive several new maps in 2026. This comes from a recent interview with GamesRadar+, which covers Embark Studios’ approach to map design.
When asked about Embark Studios’ plans for upcoming content, Watkins shared that the team plans to release some form of roadmap soon:
“Very soon, I think we’re going to release part of a roadmap for the coming months. But right now, it’s up to us to decide exactly what that cadence is, those kinds of things. And you’re right about the content types, and we’re going to break that out over the coming year.”
This upcoming content apparently includes several maps, and their size will vary depending on small and large environments:
“There will be several maps coming this year, and I think they will be different sizes to try to facilitate different types of play. So you might see some that are smaller, and some that are even larger than what we have currently.”
