Which raised the salaries of the Guardians of the Parliament

The country’s Minister of Defense, Khawaja Asif, began controversy on Wednesday when he decreed a phenomenal increase in wages and compensation from the Guardians of Higher and Lower Houses in Parliament.

“The massive increase in wages and financial advantages of the speaker (National Assembly), Vice-President, President of the Senate and Vice-President is a matter of the category of financial obscenity,” said AIF in a position on X.

“Please keep in mind the life of ordinary man – our honor and our dignity are all due to him (the ordinary man),” added the minister who belongs to the PML -N in power.

A report citing sources indicated that the president of the Senate, Yousaf Raza Gillani, who belongs to the PPP, chaired a meeting of the Back Chamber Financing Committee to approve a phenomenal increase in his own salary as well as that of the PML-N-Nice

Similarly, the president of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq of the PML-N chaired a meeting of the Finance Committee of the NA Chamber at “discreetly” the green light an increase of his own salary and that of the deputy vice-president of the NA, a position occupied by Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah of PPP.

After these approvals, the salary and the allowances received by each of the parliamentary officials increased from just over 200,000 rupees to around RS2 million. This controversy searched a storm, the Prime Minister taking note and by ordering an investigation.

The National Assembly and the Senate Secretariat, however, later refused information that the guards of higher and lower houses approved this increase by themselves, claiming that only the Prime Minister and his cabinet have the power to approve these increases and the government approved this increase.

A Gazette notification issued by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs on May 29 for the increase in wages of the year president and the vice-president and the president of the Senate and vice-president also appeared on Thursday.

According to this notification, changes had been made to the Salaries and Compensation Act of the President and the President of the Senate, while the discretionary allowances had also been increased by 50%.

Interestingly, the government also proposed an increase in wages of the members of the Parliament and the federal office in the new budget. According to budgetary documents, an allocation of RS16.29 billion was proposed for the National Assembly and 9.05 billion rupees for the Senate.

According to the details obtained by L’Express PK Press Club, the chief judge of the gross salary of Pakistan is RS2,815,387 while the gross salary of each judge of the Supreme Court is of Rs2,747 361.

The main judges of the high lessons receive a gross salary of RS2 653,418 while the total salary of each judges of the High Court is Rs2 606,000.

The gross salary of a federal secretary is 818,000 rupees, while a chief secretary obtains 1,401,000 rupees. The salary of an inspector general of the police is 1,045,000 rupees while each member of the National Assembly and the Senate receives a gross salary of 705,000 rupees.

In the proposed budget, 5.08 billion rupees were allocated for wages and allowances of MNA – 2.58 billion rupees specifically for wages, 2.5 billion rupees for travel costs, RS1,24 billion for allowances of the Speaker of the Permanent Committee and RS393.4 million for wages and allocations of the orator of the year and of the deputy.
