“As an Immi at all times and a strategic cooperative partner, China understands Pakistan’s legitimate security problems perfectly and supports its efforts to maintain its sovereignty and security interests,” said the best Chinese diplomat, quoted by the Chinese Foreign Ministry during an official reading after the telephone call with DAR.

Chinese support is crucial to Pakistan because India has threatened any reprisals. Given the Indian war, a total war or a limited conflict is a real possibility. In the event of a limited or more important conflict, the support of China in Pakistan will be essential to keep India remotely.

New Delhi, while considering several options, the Chinese factor must be taken into account. Strategic business experts believe that China would never want Pakistan to undergo a setback from India, therefore, in the event of a military conflict, Beijing would support Islamabad.

The two foreign ministers have spoken out in the context of reports emanating from India that Bharatiya Janata (BJP) party by Bharatiya Janata could launch an attack on Pakistan after having blamed Pakistan for the attack on April 22 in Pahalgam which broke the story of the Naretra Modé de la normality.

During the telephone call, Dar informed Wang of the latest developments concerning tensions between Pakistan and India, after the deadly attack in the Kashmir region, declaring that Pakistan had always been resolved in the fight against terrorism and is opposed to actions that could degenerate tensions.

“Pakistan remains determined to manage the situation thanks to a mature approach and will maintain communication with China and the international community,” said Dar. “The fight against terrorism constitutes a shared responsibility of all nations, and China constantly supports the actions to combat Pakistan terrorism,” said Wang.

A separate declaration published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad said that DAR had informed Wang of the current regional situation. He categorically rejected the unilateral and illegal actions of India, as well as his baseless propaganda against Pakistan.

Expressing a deep appreciation for the coherent and unshakable support of China, Dar reaffirmed the strong commitment of Pakistan to “Pakistani-Chinese-iron friendship and the shared vision of a strategic cooperative partnership all times”.

He underlined the determination of Pakistan to further deepen bilateral cooperation in all spheres. The two parties have reiterated their firm determination to maintain regional peace and stability, promote mutual respect and understanding, and jointly oppose unilateralism and hegemonic policies.

They agreed to maintain close communication and coordination at all levels to advance their common peace, security and sustainable development objectives in the region and beyond.

Meanwhile, DAR also spoke to the Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom, David Lammy, and informed him of the current regional situation, sharing the false accusations of India, unilateral propaganda and unilateral measures, including the illegal decision to put the treatment of the water from the Indus (IWT) in suspense – a clear violation of the international obligations of India.

He reiterated the unshakable determination of Pakistan to defend his national interests, while continuing to promote peace and stability in the region.

Foreign Minister David Lammy stressed the importance of defusing the situation through dialogue and peaceful resolution of problems. Appreciating these efforts, Dar has made the provision of Pakistan to participate in any independent and transparent investigation to determine the facts. The two leaders agreed to maintain active contact concerning the evolution of the situation.
