- All eight episodes of the Marvel TV series will premiere on launch day
- Andrew Guest hopes it will be the ‘right choice for this show’
Wonderful manThe showrunner revealed that he didn’t know the reason for every episode that aired on launch day.
Speaking exclusively to TechRadar, Andrew Guest explained that he was unaware of the conversations about how the Disney+ show would be released. Still, Guest said he hoped it would be the “right choice” for a series that has been called a half-hour sitcom by people both inside and outside of Marvel Studios.
Wonderful manwhich comes out on January 27 and 28, is not the first The Marvel TV show will air in its entirety on its release date. In fact, each payment of Echowhich only included five episodes compared to Wonderful manThe eight, abandoned on the first day of its arrival in January 2024.
Other Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) television originals have also had different release formats, with some launching with one episode and others with their first two chapters.

Still, this is only the second time a Marvel Studios project on the small screen has been launched in its entirety. Aside from the fact that a binge might be appropriate for a series whose episodic runtime – end credits sequences notwithstanding – only ranges from 20 to 30 minutes, why is the Marvel Phase 6 TV show landing in one fell swoop?
“It’s above my pay grade,” Guest said with a smile. “As far as I know, there was no plan one way or the other [to release it weekly or in bulk].
“I don’t think it’s necessarily up to Marvel in terms of how Disney wants to release it and market it, or how many episodes they want to release at once,” he added. “So we’ll see. I think there are positives and negatives to a complete drop from weekly episodic releases, and I hope it’s the right choice for this series.”
