The celebrations of the day of independence under the official theme of Marka-E-Haq began through Pakistan with events and activities that were standing at the national level.
Marka-e-Haq refers to the conflict period with India of the Pahalgam attack of April 22 at the conclusion of May 10 of Operation Bunyan-Marsoos.
This year, some parts of the country are likely to attend a four -day vacation section in August, because the day of independence and the Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) chehlum should fall into consecutive days.
According to the division of the cabinet, August 14 will be observed as a public holiday across the country to mark the day of independence.

Chehlum, which marks the 40th day of mourning after the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), should fall on Thursday, August 15.
Although it is not listed among federal holidays, provincial governments and local administrations have the power to declare a public holiday in their respective regions.
In 2024, the Sindh government declared vacation for all public and private schools in the province on the occasion of CHEHLUM.
If similar provincial holidays are declared this year, it could lead to an extended weekend – with Friday August 16 and Saturday August 17, combining with official holidays for a potential four -day break.
Currently, official announcements for the holidays related to Chehlum at the provincial level are still expected.
