Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the Indian military assault on Wednesday and warned New Delhi with consequences, promising that “every drop of martyrs will be avenged”.
His statement came after India launched missiles, Air and Drone hits evening from May 6 to 7, targeting several locations through Punjab and Azad Jammu and Kashmir in Pakistan.
Addressing the nation in a television speech, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan’s response to the uninsured attack had demonstrated his military strength and resolution. “Last night, India made a serious mistake by launching an attack on us,” said the Prime Minister. “He will have to pay the price of this assault.”
While highlighting the military superiority of India in number, Sharif praised the Pakistani air army for its fast reprisals, claiming that it forced Indian forces to withdraw to a decisive counterattack.
“It did not take long for a force several times greater than ours to bow before our will. Five Indian war planes, symbols of its pride, were reduced to the wreck. Our response was decisive and the injuries that we inflicted will not heal easily,” he reiterated.

The PM also cried the loss of innocent lives in the Indian attack, revealing that 26 Pakistani civilians were martyred, including a seven -year -old boy, whom he had attended earlier during the day.
“We stick to the families of the martyrs and pray for the recovery of the wounded. We commit ourselves that each drop of blood of the martyrs will be taken into account,” he added.
It should be noted that the Director General of Public Relations between Public Services (ISPR), Lieutenant-General, Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, in a press briefing, informed that Indian forces had killed at least 31 civilians and injured 71 others in strikes targeting the civilian population of Pakistan.
Prime Minister Shehbaz praised the professionalism and bravery of the Pakistan Armed Forces along the control line (LOC), during which they killed five Indian fighter planes using what he described as “an exceptional competence and courage”. “Our forces have proven once again that they know how to provide an overwhelming response. We salute their value,” he said.

Reaffirming the conventional military force of Pakistan, he congratulated the leaders of the armed forces, claiming that the whole nation is proud of their leadership and the performance of the troops.
Emitting a severe warning to India, the Prime Minister said that New Delhi “will have to undergo the consequences”, promising that “each drop of blood” paid during last night air strikes would be avenged.
“It is the loose enemy that targets unarmed civilians and believes itself stronger. But we proved last night that Pakistan knows how to provide an adapted response to its defense. The nation welcomes the bravery and the strength of our armed forces,” he said.
While addressing Pahalgam’s incident in India illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, which India quoted as justification of his attack, Prime Minister Shehbaz rejected the accusation as foundation, noting that Pakistan had proposed to investigate the issue, a proposal that India has ignored.

“This act of aggression is a clear attempt to divert the attention of the realities of the occupied cashmere,” he said, adding that no unilateral action of India can modify the disputed status of the region. He reiterated Pakistan’s request for the implementation of resolutions of the UN granting the inhabitants of Kashmir their right to self -determination.
Meanwhile, the National Security Committee earlier authorized the Armed Forces of Pakistan to undertake corresponding actions in response to Indian air strikes which cibed several civil zones.
The forum also noted that the act of aggression of India has also caused a serious danger for commercial airlines belonging to the countries of the Fraternal Gulf, endangering the lives of thousands of passengers on board.
Calling the international community to take note of it, the NSC has urged world powers to hold India responsible for what it described as a deliberate escalation with potential regional consequences.
