Karachi: residents of the metropolis on Tuesday woke up with heavy rains, making time of the port city pleasant after a brief period of hot and humid time.
As the showers have reported in several parts of the metropolis, including II Chunrigar Road, Sharea Faisal, Airport Road and others, the meteorological expert Jawad Memon said that the city should attend intermittent rains throughout the day today.

The latest showers come in the context of the forecasts of the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) of isolated showers in the country’s financial center until August 23.
With a strong monsoon entering the Sindh, noted PMD, is expected from the storm / rain with few moderate heavy falls to Karachi, Hyderabad, Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Larkana, Qambar Shahdadkot, Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, Badin, Thatta, Tharpararkar and surrounding.
Meanwhile, the Sindh chief secretary ordered the administration, the local government department and the province of disaster management (PDMA) to remain vigilant.
“Immediate drainage of rainwater should be ensured,” said the chief secretary while directing the assistant commissioners to ensure their presence with their staff on the ground.
Expanding weather conditions, the meteorological experts advised citizens to avoid going outside the thunderstorms expected in Karachi.
Undering citizens to use their mobile phones only for emergency calls for serious thunderstorms, weather has also alerted people against bath and washing dishes because love at first sight can hit a house and can pass the current through iron pipes.
