- The telephone connection panel joined to the start menu is to obtain a new feature
- It will allow Windows 11 users to start the screen mirror with one click
- It is by testing before a complete deployment which could start soon
Microsoft brings a new tip with Windows 11 for those who use the telephone link application, quickly and easily allow the screen of an Android smartphone on the desktop.
Windows The latest reports that the new feature is currently taking place at Windows 11 testers and is part of the telephone connection panel that is attached to the start -up menu (indeed, the deployment of said panel has started relatively recently, and I will come back to this later).
For the uninitiated, the telephone link panel has gone to the right side of the start menu and offers easy access to your messages, your calls, as well as recent activity on your phone, and displays various state details (such as battery life).
To access the new feature, all you have to do is click on the icon of your smartphone – at the top of the panel – and it will launch a screen mirror session.
You do not need to start the application of telephone link or do something else; Simply click on the icon and Windows 11 will reflect your Android phone screen on the desktop there, then (finally, given a few seconds to load and synchronize).
Analysis: be patient with deployment
Windows has tested the latest feature on several Samsung Galaxy smartphones and observes that it works well, and that, the interface for Samsung Mobiles, is implemented quite transparent on the PC desk.
Of course, only some Android devices operate with the screen mirror functionality of the telephone link application (and this new feature). This includes the Samsung Galaxy models, as well as Asus (ROG brand), Honor, OnePlus, Oppo, Surface Duo, Vivo and Xiaomi (here is the full list of compatible phones).
As mentioned, the new quick access for mirroring the screen via the lateral panel of the start menu is in testing now, but it should be deployed to the version of Windows 11 in June, says Windows last. This could even mean from today (June 10), given that a new cumulative update for Windows 11 is later due today.
Despite this, the deployment of this new feature is likely to be limited to start, because not everyone has the telephone connection panel for the start menu. Officially, the deployment of the panel started in April for people on Windows 11 11:2 p.m. and 24:2 a.m., but greater availability did not occur before May, and from what I can say in reports on certain online forums, some people are still waiting for this to happen.
It should be imminent at this stage, however, even if this new shortcut for mirroring of the screen may not arrive a little longer (you can almost bet on this).
In short, users of telephone links with compatible devices just need to stay patient for the moment, and all these goodies will present themselves in time. Microsoft also plans to integrate considerably deeper with Windows 11 and Mobiles, given the apparent plans to use the use of applications on your PC and your phone in a transparent way, a bit like Apple’s transfer capacity.
