- Windows 11 has a new feature for mobile Android in test versions
- It allows the synchronization of the PC clipboard directly with the phone
- This capacity is catchy and reactive according to early tests
Windows 11 obtains a new capacity for those who have linked their Android phone to their PC, namely a feature that makes it possible to synchronize the clipboard of the office operating system with the mobile device.
Windows discovered features in a recent Windows 11 overview version (from the DEV channel), then activated and tested it.
It works via the Link to Windows application, so you will have to have this configuration on your smartphone, then the functionality can be activated in the Windows 11 settings. The only other stipulation is that you must also use the same Microsoft account on PC and mobile.
If this is the case, when you activate the “Access PC” clipboard in the mobile devices panel in the Settings application (and you have turned on the history of the clipboard), all that is in your PC’s clipboard will be transferred to your Android clipboard.
Windows the last observes that the functionality works transparently and very quickly. The technological site has tried to copy a piece of text to its Windows 11 PC and it was “immediately” available to stick in the Gbord keyboard on their Android phone. Access to the clipboard is possible on any keyboard app, the site notes below, not just GBORD.
Also note that it is only for Android smartphones, not iPhones (at least not yet anyway).
Analysis: Microsoft strengthens the powers of the Windows 11 phone in large part
It is good to see this synchronization capacity of the clipboard entering for Windows 11, assuming that it does by tests (and I do not see why he would not do it). Windows tested the functionality several times and found that it worked well, and moreover, it was very lively to transfer to the text of the clipboard.
It could be a real time when you have something on your PC that you normally talk about yourself to access your phone. Instead, you can simply highlight and copy this text to the PC, and it will be there on your smartphone ready to stick when you pick up the mobile.
Microsoft was busy trying to develop the integration of smartphones with Windows 11 in a recent past, as you may have noticed. This includes the inscription of a floating panel on the side of the bristly start menu with details related to the phone (and a recent activity of your mobile), and the possibility of locking your PC remotely with your phone, to offer some most interesting presentations this year.
Remember that another incoming feature will allow Windows 11 users to take up what they did before in an application supported on their Android mobile (a bit like Apple’s transfer) – and the synchronization of the clipboard is married well with this convenience.
