As part of the Pakistan diplomatic awareness initiative in the aftermath of the recent armed confrontation with India, a high -level diplomatic delegation encountered various American legislators to present Pakistan’s position and highlight the provocations and the assault of New Delhabad.
Former Minister of Foreign Affairs Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, who runs a high-level parliamentary delegation of nine members in several countries, has held a series of important meetings with members of the US Congress in Capitol Hill, Radio Pakistan reported.
The members of the parliamentary delegation are Hina Rabbani Khar, Sherry Rehman, Dr Musadik Malik, Khurram Dastgir Khan, Jalil Abbas Jilani, Tehmina Janjua, Bushra Anjum Butt and Syed Faisal Subzwari.

In his latest diplomatic interaction in the United States, Bilawal met the American senator Chris Van Hollen where he accentuated “the deep concerns of Pakistan concerning the increasingly bellicose posture of India and his refusal to engage, whether through dialogue, joint investigation or third-party facilitation”.
The politician, in accordance with a declaration on his X account, also that the unilateral suspension of India of the Industry Water Treaty (IWT) constitutes a serious violation of international obligations, threatening the livelihoods of 240 million Pakistanis.
He also praised the American commitment to regional peace and praised his role in promoting de -escalation and reaffirmed the lasting belief of Pakistan that sustainable peace in South Asia is possible, thanks to an inclusive dialogue which approaches all exceptional disputes, with Jammu and Kashmir at the heart.
Meanwhile, during her meeting with MP Sydney Kamlager-Dove, member of the Chamber of the Chamber’s Sub-Comeding in South and Central Asia, Bilawal had a frank discussion on peace and stability in our region. Shared Pakistan’s concerns concerning the “abnormal new” imposed by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, where each incident by nameless actors triggers an uninsured assault, risking war between two neighbors with nuclear arms.
It has also raised the unilateral suspension of India from the Industry Water Treaty, a dangerous precedent and the armament of water that the world should not allow. India cannot be a net security supplier while destabilizing its own neighborhood.
In addition, the former FM also met Senator Jim Banks and congratulated the role of US President Donald Trump in the facilitation of understanding the ceasefire, intended for a way towards a larger and supported dialogue.
Lifting concerns about recent provocations in India, deepening the humanitarian crisis in the IIOJK and the precedent alarming established by the unilateral suspension of the Industry Water Treaty, he stressed that there was no military solution to challenges that can only be met by diplomacy and dialogue.
Meanwhile, during their interaction with the Pakistani delegation, the members of the Congress urged the two countries to demonstrate restraint and prioritize regional peace and stability and reiterated American support for the people of Pakistan and their commitment to help the economic development of the country.
