- Wix has announced the Wix (MCP) model’s context protocol server
- The tool allows developers to generate code faster
- It is now available at no additional cost
WIX, one of the best websites of websites, has just announced a new tool powered by artificial intelligence to help developers and website managers. It is called the context protocol server of the WIX model (MCP) and allows users to generate code via AI assistants such as Claude, Cursor and Windsurf.
With MCP Server, WIX users can simply speak to an AI assistant to get things done, instead of having to write the code themselves. For example, users could ask the AI to add a product to the WIX store, and the AI will send the request to the WIX MCP server. The tool will then connect to the right tools (for example the inventory, payment, CRM or something different), and will return with a confirmation message, an extract of code or similar.
In a press release shared with Techradar Pro earlier this week, Wix added that no manual coding, or additional configuration, is necessary, and that the tool works in FDI for developers and chat interfaces for non -technical users.
Stimulate productivity via AI
The tool is now available, at no additional cost, with an upgrade option to a premium plan for extensive features, such as acceptance of online payments. People interested in the new offer can consult more details on this link.
“This framework not only improves productivity, but also gives access to a wide variety of APIs and services, allowing the creation of transparent and interverters such as integrated trade, blogs, planning and events,” said Yaniv even Haim, CTO at Wix. “While we are entering the world of generation of code fueled by LLM, the quality and exhaustiveness of our APIs become one of our most important assets.”
During the past year, Wix has considerably expanded its AI tool suite, introducing more than 30 new features, such as the AI website manufacturer, the AI image creator, AI products descriptions, the Seo Meta beacon generator and many others.
